Baton Rouge, La. (WAFB) – Louisiana State Police captain in Louisiana has not actually been booked at the parish prison on DWI charges, despite the initial statements of state police news, which claims to be.
Instead, state soldiers brought Captain Belinda Murphy to prison, where she was printed with fingerprints and issued a violation. The high -ranking soldier was then released without being technically reserved in prison.
This allowed her to skip the shot of a mug made by prison staff. This mug would then become a public record and be released to the media.
In a news message sent on Tuesday morning, Louisiana State Police said Murphy was “arrested and reserved at the parish prison in East Baton Rouge on charges of Lrs 14:98 – Operation of a vehicle until it is violated (1st crime), LRS 14: 39.1 – Injury of vehicles (2 pieces), and LRS 32: 232 -Stors to control trafficS “
Murphy, a 24-year-old veteran of the forces, caused a three-vehicle crash while driving his vehicle to state police early Tuesday morning, investigators said.
53 -year -old Murphy has been accused of putting red light and colliding into two other vehicles, including a Baton Rouge police unit.

It was reported that she was out of duty during the early morning disaster, but was scheduled to be at work later in the day.
State troops responded to the three -vehicle crash at 3:30 Tuesday at the Plank Road and Harding Blvd intersection. Near Baton Rouge Airport.
All three drivers were injured. Baton Rouge police officer and the third vehicle driver were treated and released into hospital, investigators said.
Murphy is currently appointed to the Louisiana State Police Investigation Unit. It has been released on administrative leave with all law enforcement properties, restored in anticipation of the completion of criminal and administrative investigations, said a statement from the State Police in Louisiana.
