Lose your pants, keep the cause – Seattlemag

When was the last time you had this dream where you are at work or school and suddenly realize that you are not wearing pants? Now imagine doing it in real life – but for a good cause.

Cupid’s Undie Run returns to Seattle on February 8th. This mile, without pants, invites participants to undress to their teeth while raising money for the Children’s Tumor Foundation (CTF). The event supports research and raises awareness of neurofibromatosis (NF), a genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow nerves.

In the midst of a snow background, people stand in sports live leggings and socks. One person's red socks boldly declare "With stupid." This bizarre group seems to cover the motto, "Lost pants," As they enjoy their colorful, carefree clothing.

The day begins at noon at Fremonth at Dock Sports Bar & Grill (1102 N 34th St.) with music, drinks and mixing. At 2 pm the runners hit the streets, followed by a dance party, including awards for the best funds to raise funds and the best costumes. That’s right, creativity is encouraged when it comes to your clothing without pants.

So far, participants in Seattle have raised $ 5,500 to the target of the city of $ 20,000. Team Heimeken teams have contributed over $ 1300. The price for running is $ 40. Still on the fence? NF affects 1 in 2000 births worldwide – about 4 million people – and can lead to blindness, deafness, challenges of learning and even cancer.
