Los Angeles Lakers can trade with Washington Wizards after Anthony Davis Deal – Sports Illustrated

Wizards in Washington respond to the shocking trade from the earlier weekend, which sent Anthony Davis from Los Angeles Lakers to Dallas Maverix for Luca Doncic.

Former Wizards striker Marif Morris was also sent from Dallas to LA, along with Maxi Kleber to help compare wages.

However, there is a reason to believe that Lakers is not carried out after this MAVS trade is carried out. They need a center to replace Davis and while Jackson Hayes is on the list, they could upgrade the position with Wizards big man Jonas Valancinas.

Lakers has been linked to Valanciunas for some time, but they seem to be not interested after moving forward with other deals.

However, since Cleber’s contract was really well combined with Valanssiunas and Lakers in a desperate need to make a center deal, trade between the two teams may be more likely.

In a potential deal, Lakers could send Kleber and two choices from a second round in this year’s Valansyanas project, giving Wizards some additional capital to the big man’s services project.

Cleber broke his legs recently and will not play for the rest of the season, so he’ll open the time to play for the younger players on the list.

Wizards may not want to trade for an aging cell and a pair of second round elections, but if Lakers involves a selection from the first round, it may change things to Washington.

If the wizards receive the choice of the first round offered to them for Valanciunas, it would be a very difficult offer to give up when we approach the deadline for trading.

The deadline is set for Thursday at 15:00 ET. But in the meantime, the wizards are again in action against Charlotte Hornets. Tipoff is scheduled for 19:00 ET.
