A group of local residents are asking for your help providing some warmth to the elderly in their neighborhood this Valentine’s Day.
The group is trying to collect 1,100 Meals on Wheels cards by Feb. 4 and 2,400 more cards by Feb. 12 so they can begin sorting and delivering by Valentine’s Day.
Local schools and parents in the community are being sought to partner on this project as well.
Anyone with cards for the project can drop them off at Boulevard Pizza at 1076 Rock Boulevard in Sparks until Feb. 4.
The group says they’re looking for quality, not quantity — and they want the cards to be at least 5″ by 5″ so adults receiving the cards can easily view and read them.
Those who wish to participate are encouraged to fill out This Google Form online.
