LISD, UISD schools in ‘secure mode’ after threat reported – KGNS

LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) – All Laredo Independent School District (LISD) and Unified Independent School District (UISD) schools are on “secure mode” Tuesday, Oct. 22, after a suspected threat was reported.

Authorities revealed an alarm note was found at an out-of-district facility indicating a possible threat. The police have identified a person of interest and are actively searching for him.

In secure mode, no one is allowed to leave or enter any campus. Authorities are urging parents to avoid going to schools, as students are not being released at the moment.
