"Like Darius Garland vs. Paolo Banchero": The hoops fans respond to a heated competition between Kalena Smith and Jerry Robinson – Sportskeeda

On Saturday, two of the best players who did not graduate in the country stood up during the playoffs of the Open Division of CIF Southern Girls, as sophomore No. 1 Kalen Smith took up # 3 Jr. Jerry Robinson. Ontario Christian from Smith defeated Canyon Sierra by convincing fashion 62-52 on Saturday to book a ticket to the opening division final against Etiwanda.

Both Rising Hoops stars had monster performances. Kalena Smith had 21 points and 10 assists in victory, while Jerry Robinson had a more impressive individual performance with 24 points and 15 rebounds.

It was an extremely physical game, like Ontario Christian suffocates Trailblazers with a narrow protection, and the face between two of the best hoops in high school made fans talk

“This like, Darius Garland against Paolo Bancherro,” a fan writes.

“Sierra Canyon won because I didn’t see anything OK showed, which made them a team # 1 in the country. They were only good this year. So how much they are # 1 in the country? 🤔,” a fan asked.

“Who once decides to make a defense priority will be on another level.” Another commentator pointed out.

Meanwhile, others praised either Kalen Smith or Jerry Robinson.

“Kaleena is the best woman in high school,” one man wrote.

👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 They are both tuff 💪🏽,” added another fan.

“@Special.Kayyy11 is next. This young sister is ready,” another fan added.

Kaleena Smith talks about Jerzy Robinson’s victory and content

Christian Kaleni’s Kalen Smith in Ontario locked Jerry Robinson in an extremely physical game, forcing her to make many of her photos from the free throw.

“It was a game of Hustle, which responds to the mentality I had the whole game, refusing to lose,” Smith told the La Times. “If I have to sacrifice my body, I’ll … I just do everything I need to win.”

She also talks about Jerry Robinson and what it takes to master the player, many of whom called “Paolo Banchero Woman.”

“She’s really strong and we tried to stop her the best we could,” Smith said. “I think we did a good job containing it.”

Ontario Christian will move to the final game against the five -star Grace Knox (LSU signing) and Etiwanda at Toyota Center on Saturday.
