Baton Rouge, La – Late Wednesday night, Lieutenant of State Police in Louisiana was arrested by Baton Rouge police department after an incident with domestic violence.
40-year-old James Jefferson III of Baton Rouge was arrested around 11:30 pm on February 5, 2025 outside the Baton Rouge residence. Jefferson has been hired in the Louisiana State Police since 2007 and is currently appointed to the headquarters.
As a result of the incident, Jefferson was transported and booked at the parish prison in East Baton Rouge for LRS 14: 35.3.I – Home Abuse Battery (W/ Children’s Threat)S Jefferson has been put on administrative leave and all law enforcement property will be restored in anticipation of the end of criminal and administrative investigations.
