The Eagles will compete in the Cardinal Division of NLL, beginning in the 2026-27 school year.
Findlay, the Ohio-Plaster Schools of Liberty-Benton, announced on Monday that it had accepted an invitation to join the Northern Lakes League.
The Eagles will compete in the Cardinal Division of NLL, beginning in the 2026-27 school year, joining the Bowling Green, Napoleon, Clay, Fremont Ross, Southview and Springfield schools.
The school neighborhood is a longtime member of the Blanchard Valley Conference, but said he was looking for a new conference “which better aligned with his needs”, saying that they were glad to compete against NLL schools in the non-conference game In numerous sports over the last few years.
“This is an exciting opportunity for Liberty-Benton,” said Liberty-Benton Local Schools, Bruce Excellence. “Joining the Northern Lake League will provide excellent competition for our athletes, while maintaining manageable travel times. We are grateful for the invitation to join NLL and be glad to build a strong relationship within this New League. “
NLL includes the Buckeye Division and the Cardinal Division:
- Buckeye Divsion: Anthony Wayne, Findlay, Northview, Perrysburg, Whitmer (Exception in Football that includes Springfield)
- Cardinal division: Bowling Green, Napoleon, Clay, Fremont Ross, Southview and Springfield for all sports except football
