LFR meets the construction overnight in the central Lubbock – KCBD

Lubbock, Texas (KCBD) – On Saturday morning, shortly after 2:30 am, Lubbock Fire Rescue responds to a 911 call reporting a possible structural fire in the hawthorn pieces located on the 4400 block of the Marsha Sharp highway (near Aven).

LFR says the caller said that the outer front wall of the hotel was set on fire and that they tried to suppress the fire using the nearby fire extinguisher.

While the units were along the route, the fire alarm system was activated, prompting passengers to begin evacuation.

When firefighters arrived, they did not find fire or smoke.

While the crews examined to extend the fire from the reported point of origin, they found a significant spread of fire, which walks up the front wall in the interstitial space between the first and second floors.

At that moment, the incident commander upheld the call to a fire on the structure of the second alarm.

LFR staff helped five people safely evacuate, all of whom were rated on a spot for minor smoke inhalation.

LFR says the fire was contained in the interstitial space between the first and second floors, only with minor smoke damage throughout the building.

Lubbock’s fire fire office is currently currently investigating the cause of the fire.
