The trail can bring respect
Re: “The cultural path in Dallas gets a welcome – the Federal Grant is the first step towards celebrating what determines us,” Saturday edit.
Finally, Fair Park and Deep Ellum attract well -deserved attention. The area of art is of interest, but more recently Nouveau, with its predecessors being in Fair Park. We hope that the Fair Park architectural jewelry will deserve more respect than the Kalita Humphries Theater, the only theater in the world, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and condemned constantly neglect.
The carefully chosen park situation is threatened by this Bane from Dallas – parking lots. Tourism could be stimulated if its condition was improved and its existence was encouraged.
And by the way, I would like to tell his story, while some of the “originals” are still here to be interviewed.

Writers also create beauty
Re: “To all the creators in our lives, thank you – every object we touch is designed by someone with a sense of purpose,” Christopher de Vink, Saturday opinion.
Again, Mr. De Vink reminds us of the beauty in our world. He did not mention a very important group – all writers like themselves who create beautiful books and stories.

Disappointed with the vote of Cornin
Senator John Cornin, I watched Friday night with disappointment and horror, but not a surprise, as your vote advanced Pete Heget, the most not -skilled candidate in history, to the post of the Minister of Defense. Your only vote was the chance of your country and your voters to support a different well -deserved leader, a leader like you, in this extremely subsequent post. But you leave this sole opportunity to escape you. And you let us go.
Hegt was documented an unsuccessful manager by managing a small financial destruction organization through his poor management and being removed from his own advice for such failures by a second. He is a recognized Filaland and a disturbing public drunk. He proposes to restore the “merit” to the armed services. Merit really! Can you put one, one -way action or recognition that qualifies heget for this position? One?
When will you overcome your terror from the President’s revenge actions and will start listening to the wise advice of your own good judgment and better angels? Your only vote could show courage and protect your heritage and reputation.

The US looks cruel
Re: “GOP restricts global access to abortions – the rule prohibits countries relying on US remedies from performing the procedure,” Sunday News Story.
I guess I don’t understand GOP’s craze to make sure that women have no word about their health. And after reading this story, women’s health not only in the US but all over the world?
President Donald Trump has just restored a policy known as a global GAG. The US, no matter who the president is, cannot fund abortions in another country. But the last time Trump decides to restore this, he took it a step forward, so this is not only applied to family planning, but also agencies that assist programs working on nutrition, malaria and HIV/AIDS. This has led to the closure of many of the programs that have affected the most, and most difficult to reach the population in the world.
So, I guess, here are my questions: Trump and Gop don’t want anyone in the world to have access to a safe abortion? They also do not want them to have access to family planning (contraceptives, etc.) to eliminate the need for abortion? And, adding it, does it matter that they reduce the financing of those who have a sharp need for help to combat other health emergencies that affect mainly those who are poor, minorities and children?
The world is watching. The US looks weak and cruel.

For McKinley’s tariff
As a man with high curiosity but low creativity, I checked the Wikipedia’s McKinley Tariff, which was accepted when William McKinley was chairman of the House and Funds Committee and Benjamin Harrison, not McKinley, was president.
I found the following, which illuminated my mood: “The tariff was not well received by the Americans who suffered a sharp increase in prices. In the 1890 election, the Republicans lost their majority in the Chamber with the number of places they won, reduced by almost half, from 171 to 88. In the 1892 presidential election, Harrison was very defeated by Grover Cleveland and the Senate, the House and All chairmen were under democratic control. “

Who is watching a lottery?
Re: “Report details about the failures of the Texas lottery,” by Dave Liber, a subway column on Sunday.
Eleven million lottery tickets sold in three days from one store? Twenty -six million tickets purchased from one union? Our governor has to tweet, “Oh, damn it!” Our Attorney General, champion of people, must bring a case against the Texas Lottery. And our Lieutenant Governor must offer legislation to remove gray areas in lottery operations. Instead, crickets.

Get this on a recording
I do not know how the sincere Republicans in Congress were excluded from the pardon of President Donald Trump on January 6, but I know how to find out: Enter a proposal for distrust and let them record.

Welcome, coach
Re: “The coordinator is a new head coach-unit-scheduler signs a 4-year deal to become the 10th Franchise leader,” Saturday news.
I spent my junior year at Stanford University studying abroad in Germany, so I’m always interested in German names like Schottenheimer. This delayed me to translate the German name of the new cowboy coach Brian Skottenheimer: that means “a man whose home is Scotland.” Welcome, coach!
