Leonard (Len) H. McDaniel died quietly on January 16, 2025 in the Virgin Mary of Peace in St. Paul, Mn. Len was 77, born September 8, 1947 in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Len grows up in St. Paul Mn, attending St. Thomas High School. Len starts working for Crown car parts stores where his love for cars was born. Len was also a keen boat on the St. Croa River and Mississippi by Kings Cove Marina in Hastings. He loved his various boats on Chris Chris Commander. He was also a member of the St. Croas Yacht Club. Len serves as an officer at the Gray Cloud Police Department (now part of Cottage Grove), rising to the rank of Captain. Len was also a member of the St. Paul Park Fire Service. He continued to work for Ashland / Marathon oil. Len begins classes in Texas A&M for specialized fire training. Len continued to serve 25 years for the Marathon Emergency Response Team.
Len retired to Elsworth Wi in 2004. He was an active member and cashier of the old Beldenville Motor Club. Len gladly enters his show at many events in and around the Elsworth region. He enjoyed many friendships within the car club. Len was close to his many aunts and uncles, and he was also an insatiable book reader.
He was preceded by his mother Hilda Martin and Step Darwin Martin’s father, both by New Lisbon Wi. He had no brothers and sisters, but many cousins in MN. & Wi. Let the memory of Len bring comfort to those who knew him!

A private family service for flax will be held on a later date with an intervention at the Catholic Cemetery of St. Paul in New Lisbon, Wi.
