The devastated family of the murdered student Leo Ross paid tribute to their “incredible, sweet, loving boy.” Police say the 12-year-old was killed while walking on Lane Lane in Hall Green on Tuesday afternoon, stabbing the city in sadness.
Leo’s family first spoke about their loss and how their life was taken. In a statement, they said today: “We want everyone to know what is incredible, sweet, loving boy Leo.
“Not only is Leo’s life taken, our whole life has too. Leo will be truly missed by all of us. He was loved so many of all.

Cordon remains in place on Saturday – five days after the tragic incident. A vigil will be held on Sunday.
