Legislators are looking to bring a dodge to Palmo – WRDW

Columbia, SC (WRDW/WAGT) – one of the distinctive features of the first weeks of the Second Trump Administration – is the creation of Elon Musk by the Ministry of Government Management – or Dog.

Now the Republicans in the State House want to bring a Dodge to South Carolina.

“They will be appointed everything related to our finances, everything related to the way the government is operating, there are many things that will be appointed to do,” said reporter Davy Hyot, R-Pickens, leader of The majority in the house.

The near-identified resolutions submitted to the House of Representatives and the Senate will set up a new Government Commission for Efficiency.

It will be made up of nine members of the vote – with the governor, the chairman of the Senate and the chairman of the Chamber, each of whom is named three.

And no one could sit on state legislators.

One of the sponsors, Senator Stephen Goldfinch, says he envisages members to be leaders in the South Carolina industry – to seek fraud, waste and abuse.

In the end, the Commission will issue a report to the legislature – which will have the final word whether to comply with any of its recommendations.

Some Democrats say that while supporting the government’s improved efficiency – they believe it is a political cascade of Republicans.

“If we really have all these ineffectiveness we worry about, it seems that after 22 years they control that they could already identify and eradicate these ineffectiveness,” said reporter Roger Kirby, D-Florence.

This committee also has the support of governor Henry McMaster -who says he supports everything to make the government more effective and more responsible.

If this committee is established this year, it will be charged with the issuance of its first report by October.
