OBITUARY

Lee Edward Gilbert Jr., 46, of Wolcott, Connecticut, died unexpectedly on September 20.

Born in Ashland on May 30, 1972, he was the son of the late Lee Edward Sr. and Elaine Marie Shuey Gilbert.

Growing up in Ringtown, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a proud member of the North Schuylkill wrestling team and a 1990 graduate of North Schuylkill High School.

Lee was a veteran of the Persian Gulf War while serving in the fleet on the USS Dallas based in Groton, Connecticut. He later joined the Waterbury City Police Force where he served as a police officer for 10 years.

In his free time, Lee enjoyed playing deck hockey, paintballing with his friends, and scuba diving.

Lee leaves behind to cherish her memory, two daughters, Samantha Ann Gilbert and Alexa Mae Gilbert, both of Plymouth, CT; siblings, Jeremy Gilbert, Rio Grande, N.J., Kathleen Gilbert, Tamaqua, Patrick Gilbert, East Haven, Conn., and Megan Glover, Sterling, Ark.

Calling hours will be held from 4:00 PM to 5:45 PM Thursday at Chase Parkway Memorial/Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, Conn. A prayer service will be held at 5:45 PM after calling hours close. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
