Leather works Minnesota: Belts and Bob – mpls.st.paul Magazine

When Kent and Lee Bezna, co -owners of the husband and wife of leather work, Minnesota, came across a long -standing showcase in St. Paul, they jumped on him.

After starting their leather goods business in their garage in 1999 and moved to a Laurtown studio in 2012, this move signals the couple’s third act: a mission to bring a small -scale production to a residential neighborhood.

The new space, previously home to Joseph’s market, boasts character and patina. It works as a cafe and a shop that allows customers to witness their bag, which is being made – while sipping Palmira coffee and carrying a vest donut.

“Combining coffee with leather makes him feel like a real center of the collection community,” Lee says. “From years of making shows, we have learned that people love to come and watch how their products are made – and we love to show it.”

The store also stores goods from other local brands, such as Frost River, Canoe Company and Home Body Home Home.
