Expectations for a season
- Lady Cups are pre -season to finish fifth in the Lone Star conference.
- LCU is in its 10th season, playing a schedule of NCAA Division II (2013 was their last season in Naia) and this is their sixth season as members of the Lone Star conference.
- Christian University Lubbock has made regional appearances in two of the previous three seasons.
Opening day
- LCU is 14-3 for all time in the season.
- Seven of the opening seasons of LCU led to a stalk.
- On February 13, 2008, the opening of the LCU season and the introductory game in the history of the program led to a 15-0 victory without hitting southwest (NM).
- The three losses in the opening seasons occurred in the previous three seasons, including their last two opening seasons played on the shore of the Persian Gulf: Loss of 5-4 from West Alabama on February 5, 2022 and a 1-0 loss to the State of Valdost February in February. 2, 2024

- LCU makes a trip to Alabama, as this season has marked its fifth trip to South Alabama in the last six seasons. Their opening for the season in 2020 in Gulf Shores, Ala. It was their first return to Alabama after the NAIA 2012 Softball Championship.
- Lady Chaps appeared in three National Championship tournaments at Gulf Shores (2011, 2012, 2013) and played the 2008-2010 national tournaments in Decare, ALA.

- LSC player to watch … Baylea Mayers : Myers, senior third founder from Keller, Texas, made a significant influence during his first season with the Christian University of Lyubbok after transferring from the University of Houston. Myers appeared in 47 games, starting all of them and ranked fifth in the mid -level team (.302) until it finished fourth in the home runway (7) and third in RBI (27). She made 42 hits in 139 bats, including nine pairs and a threesome, and published a .532 delay rate. Defense, Myers was a reliable presence in the hot corner, recording 44 cracks and 80 assists for the flight percentage .947. Her offensive contribution included .340 percent on the basis and she was one of the six Lady Chaps players with at least 20 RBI for the season.
- LSC pitcher for watching … Thea lamb: Lamb, senior from Kurrajong Heights, Australia, made an immediate impact in his first season with Lubbock Christian University after transferring from Weatherford College. Lamb has anchored Lady Chaps employees by posting a 9-6 recording with 2.62 ERA, which is ranked seventh in the Lone Star conference and 87th on a national scale. She appeared in 18 games, making 16 starts and finished 10 of them, winning five interruptions, a brand tied to a second in LSC and 48th on a national scale. More than 93.2 passes were thrown, lamb pulled 74 flowing, ranked fourth in the conference in penalties of seven passes (5.53) and detained opponents to .229 average, fourth best in LSC. Her control was a key asset as she was ranked eighth in the 1.22 whip conference. LAMB’s constant performances have provided LCU rotation stability, contributing to the era of the 2.89 team, which was the sixth best in LSC.
Coaching
- LCU chief coach Darren Hayes is in his 15th Season the head of the chaps lady.
- Hayes is the most profitable chief coach of LCU softball, entering the season with a record of Softball 552-196.
- Along with the exceeding 550 coaching wins in Softball, Hayes had surpassed 300 victories as a collegial main baseball coach. He spent eight seasons as the head coach of the LCU baseball and a 356-163 recording. Combine the two sports and Hays is a trainer in 1.219 common LCU matches.
Watching Ung
- Nighthawks entered in 2025 with a new chief coach, Brooke O’Aire, who arrives after 18 successful seasons at Mississippi College, where she won 530 games and brought Choktaus in numerous NCAA appearances after the season. She replaces Mike Davenport, who accepted an assistant coaching position in Georgia.

- Ung has returned five key beginners from last season, adding several transfers of impact, striving to maintain his dominance to the conference, although there are no players selected in the PBC All-Conference Presidential Team.
- Nighthawks finished 52-13 as a whole and 21-3 in PBC Play last season, presenting its power with a dominant home record (31-10) and an impressive 14-2 brand on the road.
- Ung launched his campaign in 2025. On January 31, at the opening of the Bay of Persian Bay against West Alabama, before standing against LCU. This is the fourth consecutive season that Ung has opened the season at the Gulf Shores and they have won their last five games on the Gulf coast (entering this season).
Looking at a new
- The Sunshine State Conference (SSC) pre -season has divided New Southeast to finish second in the League for the third consecutive year. The sharks won 91 points and two votes in the first place, behind only Tampa, the defense champions of the conference.
- Coming out of its third consecutive appearance of the NCAA tournament, the sharks were recharged with six Division I transfers to complement a highly returning nucleus. The key returns include Brenna Lokinski (winner in the Golden Glove), Tori Coupland, Brooke Mahany, Jana Rousse, Malia Lawson (SSC Freshman of the Year), Alisha Lanyon, Tierani Teslow, Aubrey Hutzler and BRIANNA
- NSU finished season 2024 with a total record of 39-14 (.736) and 22-8 brands (.733) in SSC game, ranked second in the League ranking. The sharks were dominant at home, boasting a record of 23-1 at the Ad Griffin Sports Complex.
- New southeastern will open its campaign in 2025 on Friday at the Gulf Shores Invitational, facing Valdosta, before facing LCU. This is the third consecutive season of NSU to open the campaign in the bay on the shore.
- Sharks are striving for the fourth consecutive NCAA appearance after the season.
