boys – The Warrior women continued their challenging weekend in Boise with a match against NCAA Division I Idaho State on Saturday. LC State women’s tennis used the opportunity to gain valuable experience heading into the season.
“A very productive weekend for the Warriors to play strong opponents on the road,” coach Kai Fong said. “It’s good to see their composure in challenging situations. The foundation is being established for the season and I appreciate the group’s efforts to improve. “
After teaming with Ana Govea at No. 3 doubles for a 6-2 loss, Rayana Shah battled back in her No. 1 singles match to win six games. She fell 6-3, 6-3 against her opponent.
Beatrice Lambru had the strongest match of the day and pushed her opponent at No. 4 singles to three sets. After dropping the first frame 6-3, she rallied to take the second set 6-3. She lost the tie-breaking set 10-5.
Gwyn Heim picked up five games in the loss at No. 5 singles. She fell 6-3, 6-2.

The Warriors continue their competition against NCAA DI opponents on Jan. 31 when they host Montana in a doubleheader beginning at noon at the Tennis Center.
