Las Vegas, Nev. (FOX5) – Hundreds of people gathered outside a sunset business and Pekos on Thursday morning.
Many believed that they were ready to start a new job, but instead moved away, feeling restless that their sensitive information could be used against them.
“My hands are shaking because the social security number is everything in this country,” said Johan Ledesma, “said in Spanish.
Las Vegas subway police claim that it all started on January 21, when an online advertisement seeking third -party delivery drivers was published. The information spread quickly through mouth to mouth throughout the Cuban community. They were told to go to the business for the opportunity to work – an opportunity that they later learned did not exist.
“Today, several of our victims returned to the business and found that the business had been released from the participants and at that time they believed that they were victims of fraud,” said a police officer in the Las Vegas subway.
The victims said they had completed an application and paid a fee of $ 200, believing it was a drug test. These victims were provided to this document with details of a drug test. They showed up on various Quest Diagnostics in Las Vegas. They say that when they got there, the employees inform them that they were not aware of their appointments. Then they said they realized that everything was fraud.

Not only are the victims not money, but they are also worried about the sensitive information they have given to these people will be used against them.
“It’s really scary what is happening right now, more than money, but these are the documents in which they have our social, residence, driver’s license,” said another victim, Frank River.
