Laredo, Texas (KGNS) – Laredo’s lawyer addresses what he says are misconceptions about his client’s case.
Last week, Jamal Brown was found guilty of two of the four charges after a two-day trial in the 406th District Court. Brown’s lawyer, Robert Gutierrez, claims that some reports are wrongly suggest that his client has been sentenced to all points. He stressed that they had provided favorable results, given the potential for prolonged sentence and strict conditions for conditional release.
Although Brown has been sentenced to 9.5 years in prison, Gutierrez notes that he reserves the right to appeal.
“I advised him that this was a very favorable result, despite the crime of three sentences, since, as we all agreed, his life was spared, not to be guilty of the crime and much of his life was also spared by not being that it was not that it was not Guilty of the crime two aggravated attacks, “Gutierrez said.
Meanwhile, the District Attorney of the web and Sapata County Isidro Alanis expressed satisfaction with the jurors’ decision, stating that Brown remained a convicted criminal and stressed that the case was related to accountability.
