Lady Liberty makes her annual performance at Wisconsin’s Wiccan Carnival – WMTV

Madison, wis. (WMTV) – The Statue of Liberty can be seen peeking out of the ice on Lake Mendota. Her annual appearance on Friday marks the beginning of Wisconsin’s winter Carnival.

The event brings together students, community members and tourists together. This year, events include skates, ice hockey golf, broom, carriage walks, music, hot chocolate and more.

On Saturday, as part of Rail Jam, snowboarders and skiers will perform a number of tricks. This part of the event is set by SKI and Snowboard Club Cloofer.

“It is definitely nice to have these additional events happen on the ice to get a much more excitement around the event, to take people to the lake and to the winter carnival to enjoy the whole experience,” Vice President of Ski and Snowboard said Club Nathan Williams.

Saturday will be the last day to take a photo with Lady Liberty.

The carnival works until Sunday, when they will finish the sled event with Ambassadors of the hoof. You can find the full schedule of events here.
