Lubbock Christian enters the game with a 7-5-3 overall record and a 5-3-2 Lone Star record, sitting in a three-way tie for sixth place in the conference with Midwestern State and St. Mary’s. In road games, the Lady Chaps have a 3-3-1 record and are 2-1 in their last three road games. Lubbock Christian is coming off a 1-0 LSC win over Sul Ross State in Alpine Saturday.
The Patriots hold a 10-2-3 overall record and 5-2-3 in conference play, which is third in the Lone Star standings. At home this season, UT Tyler is 7-1-1 and they won their last home game 10-0 against Sul Ross State on October 23rd. Also, UT Tyler is currently on a two-game winning streak.
Lubbock Christian and UT Tyler have a short history against each other, the first meeting in 2019. Despite the short time span, they have faced off every year since the inaugural meeting, with a total of four meetings in the all-time series. The Lady Chaps hold the series advantage with a 3-1 record against the Patriots. The Lady Chaps are led by Come on Spillerwho scored 16 points in her first season with the Lady Chaps. Additionally, Spiller’s 16 points tied him for sixth in the Lone Star Conference. Spiller also leads the Lady Chaps with six assists, which is also tied for the most in the conference. Senior Avery Jennings has contributed to the Lady Chap offensive attack as she leads the Lady Chaps in goals with Spiller with five on the season. Jennings also had three assists, bringing her total points to 13, tied for tenth in the Lone Star Conference. The Lady Chaps have split time between their three goalies this season, with Megan Mirabal currently receiving initial responsibilities. In their last three games, Mirabal has started in goal for Lubbock Christian, going undefeated in that span with a 2-0-1 record.
UT Tyler is led offensively by Natalie Jones, who has been a standout for the Patriots this season. Jones is tied for third in goals (7), tied for first in assists (6) and tied for third in points (20) in the Lone Star Conference. The Patriots are anchored by Brooke Mullins, who has contributed six goals and two assists on the season. Rounding out the offense for UT Tyler is the tandem of Ella Anderson and Marin Love, who each had four goals and three assists for the Patriots. Backing up the goal for UT Tyler is Emily Clark, who ranks near the top ten in every Lone Star statistical category.
