For several conferences at the Lacrosse College Department I, the best contenders in 2025 are, surprisingly, programs with established success and well -known coaches. One such program deserving of recognition is Vermont. Under the leadership of the coach Chris Fefs, the catamons have built a strong reputation in the Conference of America East, consistently competing for championships. Now entering the ninth season at the head, Feefs has directed Vermont to numerous tournament in America East tournament, which ended with titles from back in 2021 and 2022, which provide NCAA tournaments.

Adding to Vermont’s growing heritage is their newest rookie, 2026. Archbishop’s midfielder Spalding Carson Blair, who recently engaged in the catamany. Blair’s decision was strongly influenced by his admiration for the program and his coaching staff, more special Feifs, with which he developed a strong connection at the beginning of the dialing process. His engagement marks another chapter in Vermont’s expanding relationship with Maryland Maryland Athletic Association (Miaa), a league known for producing talent from the highest level of lacross.

Blair became the first Miaa player in class 2026 to commit to Vermont, but he is far from the first to make the movement north. The 2025 Catamante list is already proud of four Miaa graduates, including two SPALDING graduates, further reinforcing the growing program of the program from this PowerHouse High School conference.

This engagement is not just a personal stage for Blair, but also an exciting development for both Spalding and Vermont Lacrosse. While Blair looks forward to his collegial career, he first has the opportunity to leave a lasting sign in spalding. The team has never captured the title of the Miaa A Conference, but with Blair in the composition, this can change. If Spalding manages to secure its first championship, Blair will bring a valuable championship experience to Vermont Program, which certainly knows what it takes to win.

Congratulations to Carson and his family for this exciting trip forward! His talent, work ethics and connection with Vermont’s coaching staff make it perfect for a championship program. As the Catamantans continue to build their list of the best recruits, the addition of Blair reinforces Vermont’s position as a force that must be taken into account in the Conference of America East.
