Kyrie Irving makes a bold statement to Klay Thompson after Dallas Maverix beat Pelicans – Sports Illustrated

On Wednesday evening, Dallas Maverix defeated New Orleans Pelicani with a score of 137-136.

Clai Thompson finished winning 20 points, four fights and one assist while shooting 6/11 from the three -point range.

After the match, Kiri Irving talks about his teammate (H/T Joey Mistrity from Clutchpoints).

Irving: “We are focusing to turn it on and turn it through the whole game … Also, call its number when we have nothing offensive. He is one of these emergency buttons for us.”

Thompson is his first year with Dallas after 13 years with Golden State Warriors.

The four -time NBA champion is an average of 13.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists per race while shooting 41.7% of the terrain and 39.6% of the three -point range in 41 games.

It has scored 20+ points in each of the previous two.

With the victory, MAVS is already 26-22 in 48 games, which has them as eighth seed in the western conference.

After New Orleans, Mavs will play their next game on Saturday when they visit Pistons Detroit in Michigan.

As for Irving, he is in his third season with Dallas.
