The winner of the armor of the story last season, Kopec de Bords opened his obstacle account with the victory of this track at Christmas, and although the fog was reviewing that day, the players were confident that the five -year -old youth had published a mileage of his eyes.

Willie Mulins’ accusation was sent by the 4-5 market leader on the back of this, and while the Paul Tound Mountain was slightly distracted by a loose horse on the home, the result never doubted.

He jumped the latter well out of the field and went home 13 lengths in front of a stable Karnaquet, with Warren Grerex’s British Raider and Smart, who claimed to be an honorary third at the first grade level.

Kopek des bordes was reduced to 7-4 of 12-1 with Coral for the Supreme in Chelton next month while Betfair goes 6-4 for his chances.

Mulins said, “The horse was very keen and free all the way, but Paul just let him go his head in his obstacles, and he jumped better than Christmas. We did a lot of school with him from the last day.

“He put him in a wonderful position, then the loose horse came and I understood what would happen, it was angry, since Paul usually did not go to three foils outside. Then the loose horse ran wide on the second, and Paul had to take him back, but he still scored a huge leap to him. You would think there would be no problems jumping on the fences afterwards.

“It was a huge performance. We thought he was good enough to win armor and win his obstacles, but you never know if horse was so good. They are first -class material and very few horses show you this at home. They do not show me anyway, I do not ask them that many questions and let them show it on the track.

“This man was a beautiful horse in sales, he did not walk the way you probably would like to walk, but with his pedigree, age, scope and size, we took advantage of him.

“I do not see the need to go on a trip because he will need a very fast pace in his races.”
