The Pelicans in New Orleans fell to Dallas Maverix 111-103 on Friday night on the road.
Mavericks guard Kiri Irving scored 35 points to lead Dallas to win. Irving has scored at least 30 points in three straight matches that Maericks are needed as the team trades the security of Luka Doncic’s superstar Los Angeles Lakers.
Dallas deals with many injuries to his previous court, including the newly acquired Anthony Davis, Derek Lively II and Daniel Gafford Center. Mavericks are looking to return to the NBA finals after losing Boston Celtics last year. Irving spoke to reporters after the team for the thinking of the team after the All-Star break.

“Time of the season, it means something. We are trying to get a playoff, which matters, so we have something to play. We don’t want to add too much pressure; we want to have fun, but we know where we are in the season.”
Irving knows what it takes to win at the highest level in this league. The 9-time All-Star made four appearances at the NBA final, including winning the NBA Championship as a member of Cleveland Cavaliers. Erving is an average of 24.9 points, 4.7 rebounds and 4.8 assists for 31-26 Mavericks this season.
