KGNS special guest judge emphasizes the innovations of the students of the Harmony Scientific Fair – KGNS

Laredo, Texas (KGNS) – A special guest judge helped to light the spotlights of young scientists at Harmony’s Annual Scientific Fair on Tuesday.

KNS’s own Yolanda Villarreal had the unique honor of returning to his roots as a judge invited by her former first grade teacher, Mrs. Sally Garza. The students eagerly presented their inventions and research projects, showing their creativity and scientific curiosity.

The first three winning projects relate to the challenges of the environment in the real world:

🥇 First place: A project focused on protecting coastal areas from hurricanes.

🥈 Second place: An experiment of a “salt solution” that examines the methods of desalting ocean water as a potential new water resource.

🥉 Third place: A project dedicated to cleaning oil spills.

Villarreal was impressed by the enthusiasm and innovation of students, sharing his excitement during the morning show: “You are superstars!”
