Kilgore College will host the 62nd Annual Regional Scientific Fair in Eastern Texas on Friday, February 7, showing local winners of the Schools Fair in the area (grades 6-12), who are invited to attend the competition.
Scientific projects will be available for public viewing from 7:30 to 9am that the projects will be on display on the Pickball court at the Fitness Center of Parks, and the high school projects will be located in the student center of Deval.
More than 80 projects from elementary, junior high schools and high schools in Eastern Texas will be presented in this year’s competition, showing the creativity and inventions of students in both the community and judges.
The finalists in both youth and senior divisions will move to the Texas Scientific and Engineering Fair on March 28-29 at the College (grade 6-12).
The common winner of the scientific fair in the senior department (grades 9-12) will move to the International Fair of Science and Engineering of Regeneron (ISEF) in Columbus, Ohio, May 10-16.
