Wilmington – Catherine Sue Kirkpatrick, a beloved mother, satellite, sister and grandmother, died quietly on January 29, 2025 in Wilmington, North Carolina, at the age of 60. Born December 5, 1964 in Jacksonville, Florida, Catherine, she filled her 60 years with warmth, determination and a deep love for her family.

Catherine had an infectious spirit, especially during the holidays, as she was glad to cook big holidays that brought her family together. She worshiped the laughter and joy that resonated in her home during those times. Her unwavering support and strength were pillars for her loved ones, always encouraging them to strive for the best of themselves.

Nothing made Catherine’s heart more fully than her grandchildren, for whom she kept abundant love and pride. She loves watching them grow and create countless memories that will forever be embedded in their hearts. The nights of wrestling were also a hidden tradition, as she enjoyed the excitement of sports – it was a delight she shared with the people around her.

Catherine’s life was intertwined with grief after being preceded by death by her beloved mother Rose Walker and her siblings Sharon, Sandra, Michael and David. She carried their memories with her through strength and resilience.

She leaves behind her inheritance of love and devotion, surviving her longtime companion Andres Jesus; Her children: Erika Kirkpatrick from Sneads Ferry, NC, Amanda Kirkpatrick by Jacksonville, NC, TRISH BARNS and husband Joshua from Wilmington, NC, Kevin Kirkrick by Fulton, Ny, Kelly Delco, nc , Sean Kirkpatrick Sarah Kirkpatrick from Wilmington, North Carolina, and Brian Buba Kirkpatrick and wife, Sarah Mot also from Wilmington, North Carolina. Her surviving family also includes her brother Charles Crenshow of Mississippi, her sister Michel West of Key West, Florida and 26 valuable grandchildren. She shared her home and heart with her beloved pet Freddie Mercury.

Catherine’s life will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at the burial and cremation of Wilmington, 1535 southern 41st Wilmington Street, North Carolina. Family and friends are invited to gather in memory and honor of Catherine’s remarkable trip.
