Karaoke and live music to be highlights after popular pub’s £525,000 revamp – Northwich Guardian

The Broken Cross, on Brokencross Place, reopened on October 1, after a month-long overhaul, complete with new licensees, Sammi and Nick Garland.

The pub’s owner, Greene King Ltd, describes its new Hive Pubs concept as “a new look, local to the community”, combining an “exciting” food and drink offer with “all the entertainment you could possibly need”.

As well as live entertainment, this also includes Sky Sports and BT Sport subscriptions to watch all the major sporting events.

Hive Pubs also have regular offers, such as 2-4-1 Burger Night, Steak and Wine Night, plus a range of pizzas.

Sammi said: “Hive Pubs is all about being community first, providing everything a pub-goer could want from their local, all under one roof.

“As pub franchisees, we are committed to playing a valuable role in the communities we serve.

“The new look is amazing.”

Asa Charlton, business development manager for Greene King, said: “As the Hive Pub, live music, including bands and karaoke, will be an important feature of Broken Cross, as well as pub quizzes and community events, as well as fundraising to raise money for local charities and support for local sports teams and interest groups.

“Thanks to our £525,000 investment, it has been given a new lease of life.

“It looks absolutely fantastic.

“With great beer, a wide range of food and all the entertainment you could need, the community is ready to be treated to their new take on local.”
