Kansas Sadfagist, worshiped in the State Capitol – a public library of Topeka & Shawnee County

The mural of the artist Phytis Paise in Capitol in Kansas celebrates the efforts of women who stubbornly until women are reached. The mural design has been approved by the Capitol Conservation Committee in Kansas and will be dedicated on January 29, 2025. The Kansas Sfgagist Memorial Committee was founded in collaboration between the Kansas Women’s Voters, the American University Women (AAUW) Association and the Committee for the preservation of Capitol in Kansas to develop an innovative and original work of art to be shown in the Capitol building of Kansas.

The historian Jeanne Klein speaks of the history of the women’s suffrage of women in Kansas in the League of Women’s voters Topeka-Showni Tuesdays through the presentation at the library in December 2024. The library is a partner in the league of voters of women in sharing non-party civil information.

The Kansas Chief Law Movement continued from 1859 to 1912. The presentation of Klein provides history, stories and an emphasis on Topeka and Lawrence’s suffraters. See the recorded presentation below and the slides for more details.
