Kamala Harris hosts campaign rally and concert in Madison – TMJ4 News

A rock concert and rally took place in Madison, featuring the musicians Mumford and Sons, who performed their hit song ‘I Will Wait’, and Vice President Harris encouraged the huge crowd: ‘Don’t wait to vote. Do it now.”

“In Wisconsin, if you give me a chance to fight on your behalf as president, there’s nothing in the world that can stand in my way of fighting for you,” Harris said during a 30-minute speech at the Alliant Energy Center.

Kamala Harris, counting on Dane County to deliver the big numbers that helped Joe Biden carry the state in 2020, talked about tax cuts for the middle class, a federal ban on price gouging and what she sees as a gap between her administration and Donald Trump.

“Unlike Donald Trump, I don’t believe that people who disagree with me are the enemy,” Harris said. “He wants to put them in jail. I will give them a seat at my table.

Noelle Tarpey attended the Harris rally with her daughter and her daughter’s boyfriend.

She votes early.

“I care a lot about women’s rights and the future of my girls,” Tarpee said.

Ellen Holley is a Harris volunteer working to win the vote in red-leaning Walworth County.

“I think we just have to keep getting out the vote. And she just has to keep telling us about the good vision and all the things she’s going to do,” Holly said.

She thinks President Biden’s “nonsensical” comment about Trump supporters was misspoken, but says she sees more fatigue in Trump as he knocks on the door.

“A lot of disgruntled Republicans who are done with Trump.”

It’s all about energy and enthusiasm as the Harris campaign makes its final push in what will likely be another photo finish in the Wisconsin battleground.
