Judge Ailin Cannon says the Ministry of Justice cannot share the Trump classified documents with Congress – AOL

Judge Eilin Cannon prolonged the detention on Tuesday, which she set up by blocking the Ministry of Justice to share the report of special lawyer Jack Smith about his investigation into the abuse of President Donald Trump of classified documents with congressional members.

Her order took some strikes of prosecutors representing the position of former prosecutor Merick Garland, accusing them of misleading her at a court hearing on Friday and claiming that they did not manage to cope with the “special role” that they play in the criminal justice system.

Prior to taking up Trump Garland, he tried to share a privately available report with a small group of legislators, provided they did not reveal what he had learned.

On Tuesday, Cannon accepted arguments set out by former Trump teammates Walt Nauta and Carlos de Oliveira-two employees of his accusations of crime-related crimes-even limited disclosure could get them if their cases ever go to court. Cannon rejected the prosecutor’s office last summer on the grounds that Smith had been appointed unconstitutional, but this decision was appealed, leaving the possibility of the allegations being revived.

“The naked wishes of a prosecutor General with a” limited time “in the position to comply with the non -existent” historical practice “for the release of special lawyers reports in the pending criminal proceedings is not a valid reason,” Cannon wrote.

“And it certainly does not repeal the obvious constitutional interests of the defendants in this action and the obligation of this court to defend the integrity of this proceedings.”
