Josh Allen of Wyoming wins his first MVP – Cowboy State Daily

Yes, Josh Allen plays for Buffalo’s bills.

But in Wyoming we will first recognize him as a cowboy. And our favorite cowboy has just taken home his first prize for the most precious players (MVP) at NFL.

Of course, if it depends on Josh, he prefers to play on Sunday than to receive this award, but this is a great prize for comfort after a great season. And he has enough time to get to Super Sunday.

He received the recognition he deserved on Thursday night, when the highest award in the National Football League was presented to him by another MVP, a two-time winner Kurt Warner.

There are many similarities between the two. No one really believed in any of them. Dick Vermael saw something special in Warner. And Craig’s Wyoming Ball noticed something in Alan.

This makes the prize win a lot better. But Josh is not the type “I told you so.” He “tells you so” on the pitch. And that’s all that matters.

Josh was Josh when he went on stage. He was, to put it mildly and reserved when he delivered a brief speech.

He first thanked God and then recognized the other MVP candidates for mentioning Lions defender Jared Goff, Bengals defender Joe Burrow, Ravens Lamar Jackson’s defender, and running the Eagles Sakun Barkley.

It was a very close competition – the closest since 2005.

Alan received 27 votes first while Jackson had 22. The final composition was 383 votes for Alan and 362 for Jackson.

Thank you

“I would like to thank my parents,” Alan said. “I bet in their 20 years of playing football playing in pop Warner-I am subject to have missed perhaps 15 games throughout their lives.”

He said his parents were so dedicated to the support of his “favorite teammates”, mentioning his three siblings.

“Thank you for all the support, all the time, energy and money, lost, growing from a meeting, to play, to practice. I love you and I know you are proud of it too, “he said as his parents were torn in the audience.

Trash

Alan also won the Art Rooney Sports Mastery Award on Thursday night, which was interesting, since in August 2024 he was named the “most speaking speaking garbage” in a pre -season survey of anonymous ESPN players.

CBS reports that Alan is the first MVP after Peyton Manning in 2008 to have no ALL-PRO teammate.

Alan threw for 3 731 yards with 28 touchdowns. He also had only six intercepts in 2024 – a low career. Alan had 531 fast yards and 12 tracks on earth.
