John Lee Johnson, 76 years old from Samburg, died at 15:40 Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 15:00 Sunday at Living Word Church in Hornbeak. Brother Archie Larry will serve. The cremation will follow the service. On a later date, a private grave service will be held.
The visit will be held at Living Word Church from 1:00 pm to the time of services on Sunday.

John was born on January 10, 1949 in Samburg, son of the late Carlos Ike and Mary Leon (Reed) Johnson Gambble. He married Linda (Pare ‘) Lyon Johnson on January 1, 2019. John served in the United States Army in Vietnam from 1969 to 1971 and served with B Company 2/8 Fourth Panthers Division. He was hired at the former Goodyear tire and tire company and was a member of the church of Trenton Crossing Christ in Clarksville. John enjoyed camping, traveling and watching his grandchildren to play sports.
He survived his wife Linda Lyon Johnson of Samburg; One daughter, Jessica Johnson (Julius “Spunky”) by Samburg; Three sons, Trent Johnson from Paduka, Kentucky, Brian Johnson (Cristan) from Hornbeck and Zack Johnson of Samburg; Two bonus children, Landon Lyon (Melinda) by Pagram and Stecia Rugger (Jay) by Clarksville; Eleven Grandchildren, Keiden Akers and Raelynn Mcelrath Both of Samburg, Addyson Johnson, Kyndal Johnson, John Braye “JB” Johns, Catl re (kim), bryce ruger, Trenton Ruger and ashlyn Ruger All of Clarksville and Rheagan Moore of Union City; Three sisters, Laura Makturne (Doyle) from Union City, Tammy Gambble of Samburg and Libby Wade of Elbridge; And one brother, Tom Johnson (Barbara) from Samburg.
He was also preceded by death by a young daughter, Ashley Nicole Johnson; One sister, Janet Shilley; and three brothers, Jimbo “Jimbo” Gambble, Bobby Gamble and Danny Johnson.
