Joe Marie Tane, at 78, from Edgewood, Iowa, died on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at the Honorhealth Scottsdale Osborn Medical Center in Scotsdale, Arizona. She was born on November 17, 1946 in Menomoni, Wisconsin, daughter of Thomas and June (Debbie) Nebal. Joe Marie grew up in the Menomoni area and graduated from Menomoni High School. He later visits Clarke College in Dubuque, Iowa.
On December 17, 1966, Joe Marie married Lawrence “Butch” Tane in the Catholic Church of St. Joseph in Menomoni, Wisconsin. One daughter, Patricia, was born of this union. Joe Marie worked as a waitress and helped with the family farm. Joe Marie helped to create Morning Mist in Garber.
Joe Marie was a longtime member of the Catholic Church of St. Michael until its closure and then became a member of the Catholic Church of St. Joseph in Garnovo. He liked to play golf, cards and drive a boat. Joe Marie loved his family and loved to spend time with them.
Among the survivors are her 58-year-old husband Lawrence Butch Tain; Her daughter, Patricia (Loras) Gerner of Garber; Two grandchildren, Jennifer (Ethan) Christianson and Jared Gerner; Six brothers and sisters, Dan (Pam) Nonwedal, Tom (Sue) Nonwedal, Mike Neverdal, Pat (Cindy) Neverdal, Lee (Carrie) Neverdal and Lisa (Leicester) Grila; daughter -in -law, Catherine Brown; And many nephews and nephews.
Joe Marie died before her parents and brother Tim (Mary) Neverdall.

Liturgy for a Christian funeral: 10:30 in the morning, on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at the Catholic Church of St. Mark in Edgewood, Iowa, with priest John Haugen.
