Joan Baron: What happened to Wyoming’s cause? – Cowboy State every day

Cheyenne – Compared to the chaotic blowing in DC, the overall and budget session of Wyoming is a calm and collected operation.

This is not necessarily a good thing.

The legislators on the part of the Chamber, which is entirely under the control of the cause of freedom, a fiction with a hard right-wing, based on religion-the none of the right-right, are easily passed through a batch of accounts, including some that the lawyers will tell you that you are obviously unconstitutional.

But this, we have to remember, is what the voters have shown that they wanted in the last election.

What is missing on the stage is what we used to call the loyal opposition. In the highly Republican Vayoming, this role has always been played by the Democrats.

But in this session there are too few Democrats to hold the tide of new right bills,

The minority party has only two out of 31 seine seats and six out of 62 members. Although hopelessly counted, they are constant and still heard as a loyal opposition.

How about Republicans who are not members of the border Coach?

In the last session or sessions, they had their own organization called “The Wyoming Caucus”. I don’t know how many members have joined. The name did not help his appeal.

Where is Wyoming’s work today?

His political action committee is still registered in the civil service.

He seems to be in sleep.

Traditional Republicans can restrain themselves in the hope that the extremist Cook for freedom will go too far and “raise on his own Petard” to take a very old saying from Shakespeare.

This could happen very well if they continue to try Aries through accounts such as what hangs in the house that require state -owned water tests for the presence of abortion pills and the mandate to be brought to the fetus remains for testing

This bill is completely ridiculous, as other critics pointed out.

This is a type of news similar to the average treatment of the injured wolf in West Bar Wyoming, which makes people think that Wyoming is inhabited by a bunch of ignorant hills or barbarians.

Publicity is bad for tourism.

We will still see how the Senate will vote. Without total control of the cause of freedom, the upper house has more freedom to vote a conscience from the House.

Remember that the Caucut of Freedom is supposed to be a populated country, but beyond the reform of property tax have done nothing to help the average citizens of Wyoming, as far as I can see. Correct me if I’m wrong.

I do not think that the average family is interested in what investment the state makes or worried about immigrants and fraud with voters, or on this, transgender people using which bathroom.

They take care to keep their public schools ..

The families I know are worried about the cost of grocery and how to pay their bills and collect their families for profit from jobs that pay only a minimum wage or a little higher.

From the more illuminated party, I observed the first meeting of the Legislative Management Council with the new members.

Home Chairman Chip Neiman, a Republican from Humlet, is the new chairman.

The Council is the administrative part of the legislature consisting of the chamber and the Senate leaders.

They make all decisions regarding the decoration, legal conflicts and are responsible for the budgets for the legislative service service and all surveys of legislative intermediate committees.

At the end of the session, Neiman said he wanted unity and work as a bilateral group.

He had the same goal at the beginning of the session, but I’m not sure his followers were also committed.

Still, maybe that was a good start.
