WEST POINT, Miss. – The James Madison women’s golf team finished the fall portion of its 2024-25 schedule with a 15th– on-site showing at The Ally on Wednesday afternoons.
Freshman Isabella Flores dukes pace with 45th– par-72 finish location, 6284 Old Waverly Golf Course. The Kingwood, Texas native shot a three-round score of 226 (+10) with rounds of 77-75-74, improving her scores each round.
Junior Maria Atwood (81-76-77) and rookie Hannah Rabb (74-79-81) each tied for 66th on the 90-player leaderboard with 54-hole scores of 234 (+18). Lauren Waxer-Gooding finished one shot behind them at 235 with rounds of 77-79-79.
Tatum Walsh shut out JMU’s Mississippi contingent with a 77 (+5) in the third round after posting rounds of 87 and 76 in his first two rounds.
Avery Weed, the No. 17 ranked golfer in the country, secured the individual crown with a 207 (-9), while No. 45 Florida edged out host Mississippi State for the team title with an 849 (-15).
JMU finished with a three-round score of 922 (+58) at 309-306-307.
