Jim Cantor of the Meteorological Canal is in Talahasi.

Around 4:00 pm Cantor published on X, he was in TLH. One hour later, Hurricane Helen was expected to have 130 miles / h on the land, making it category 4.

It was confirmed when Cantor was spotted preparing for a live shot on Monroe Street against Capitol in Florida.

Earlier on Wednesday, Cantor was in Port Richie and had previously been at Hudson Beach, just over 7 miles north from there.

Cantore is one of the most famous meteorologists on television and has become known as a harbinger of hurricanes for nearly four decades.

He is known or possibly scandalous because of his appearances on the spot before, and especially during major weather events and is often applied to a seemingly harm to demonstrate how dangerous the storm is.

At noon on Wednesday, Cantor published on X that the threat from Hurricane Helen to the southeastern US “cannot be lowered.”

“This will be a historical storm for many, including South Apalachia with floods and wind damage. Pray wrong, I want to be. Be safe and protect your families and property as you can best,” Cantore said.

Cedar Key McDonald’s resident, the general manager of the Cedar Inn motel, said last year when the Hurricane Idalia struck the coast of nature, she knew that her city was in difficulty when Cantor came to stay in her property.

“When Jim Cantour appears in your city, you are screwed,” she said.
