In addition, as a champion in orchestral training for young people, he served as the music director of the Maryland Youth Symphony Orchestra, originally founded by his teacher Angelo Gato. Based on his considerable expertise and unwavering passion for music, Silbershlag is a prominent professor at the St. Mary College in Maryland, where he fulfilled responsibilities as chairman of the music department, professor, artistic director and head of music performance. In his work with college, he recruits teachers and students, develops the curriculum, manages the budget and connects between the college for its surrounding community and Italy. Along with his academic pursuits, Silbershlag loves to share all the information that his famous teachers have shared with him. These world -renowned artists/teachers included trumpet professors William Vakchiano, Pierre Tibo, Mel Bros, Gerard Schwarz, Charles Colin, R. Chandler Gaying, Robert Nagel and Larry Skinner.

Silbershlag has many successful and devoted students who perform professionally and work for more music.

Over the years, Silbershlag has served as a guest at universities and conservatives around the world, including the Royal Music Academy in London, the Conservatory in New England in Boston, the Beijing Conservatory in China and the University of Performing Arts in Kyoto, Japan.

Throughout his career, Silbershlag has been honored to perform with such artists as Mstislav Rostropovich, Hilary Kole, Melissa Erico, Leon Bates, Brian Ganz, Jos Cueto, Larry E. Vot, Giuseppe Sinopol , Robert Bright and Guiseppe Nova.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Silbershlag remains dedicated to the music industry as a judge for Wammies/The Washington, DC Area Music Awards. He was president of the District Council of Arts of St. Mary and a longtime board member. Silbershlag is a member of the vote of the National Academy of Recognition Arts and Sciences.

For his outstanding achievements, he was recognized by the Octava Award higher than the Bowie State University, the European Union of the Arts and Cultural Activities Award and the Storton Norton T.
