Gene A. Moore, Born November 26, 1944, Passed Away PeaceFully on Janair 25, 2025, at the Age of 80. Gene Was the Belove Son of Josephine and Cicero Moore and Grew Up Alongside , Senior (Eve), Linud (Linda) and Robert (Pearl) and two sisters Alma Sistun (died) and Elaine Parker (died). Jean was also a mentor and figure of the father of several nephews, nephews and numerous cousins. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School before chasing higher education at the State University of Norfolk, where he won a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Later, he won a Master’s Degree in Political Science from the American University and pursued a doctoral degree from Howard University, demonstrating his lifelong commitment to learning. As a dedicated teacher, Jean has been a professor at the University of Hampton for 25 years, leaving an indelible mark on countless students and colleagues. His passion for education and mentoring was a cornerstone of his work. Jean was a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., which reflects his dedication to public service and brotherhood. He has also been a member of the City Planning Commission of Chesapik and has been president of Fernwood Farms Civic League for over 15 years. His participation in these organizations gave an example of his values ​​for leadership and communication. Jean shared a loving marriage to his wife, Vivian R. Moore, for 47 years, with whom he built a beautiful family. Together they raised two children, Crystal Moore and G. Mitchell Moore. Jean also appreciates his role as Genail Moore and Christopher King. Jean’s legacy is the wisdom, kindness and dedication to those he loved and the communities he served. Let his memory bring comfort to all who knew him. The funeral service will be held at the Metropolitan Funeral Service, Berkley Chapel at 10am on February 6, 2025.
