There is only one player representing a jazz on Utah at this year’s All-Star Weekend: Second year’s guard Keyonte George.
Good news: He will play at two events in the league showcase. For the second time in his young career, George participated in the Rising Stars Race on Friday, playing for “Team C”, prepared by the hall of the famous NBA Chris Mulin. And the 21-year-old jazz guard from Baylor, along with San Antonio’s security guard and the rising stars MVP Stephon Castle, pushed a team to win at night, scoring 13 points in both games, adding three assists.

The result means that his team C will play in the All-Star Sunday, in the new tournament format of the game. George and teammates will play against three other teams of all the league stars made by the hosts of TNT Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley, in a small tournament to decide the winner of the night.
The competition was George’s third game for three days after playing over 30 minutes both in Jazz’s victory against Lakers on Wednesday and for their loss for overtime work against clippers on Thursday.
The performances in the last two jazz games before the break were characteristic of George’s season so far: up and down. In the game against Lakers, George shone, winning 20 points and 10 assists in high -efficiency shooting.
