Tuscaloosa, Ala. Seven of the 11 different beginners in Alabama and ten of the 19 farmers who appeared for Tide made their debut at Alabama’s opening over the weekend.
One of these new faces was the transfer of Miami Jason Torres.

Torres had an incredible first weekend in Crimson Tide uniform, bathe with a .500 with OPS of 1.542, recording six hits, eight RBIs and home running while working with four walks. Born Hialeah, Florida, also provided the field flexibility, seeing time in the first and third base, proud of the perfect field rate in both places.
The best Torres performance on the weekend came to the end of the series on Sunday, where junior recorded three hits in four bats, adding team five RBIs, one household, one threesome and one walk-by-playing for the cycle.
When asked about his star performance, especially in Tuscaloosa’s abnormally cold weather, Torres referred to a viral quote from former Alabama Jalen Hurts defender, stating, stating, stating that, stating that, “As Jalen Hurts said, rain, snow or snow. Man, we’ll go.” Torres added, “It doesn’t matter what time we have.”
Torres can potentially be one of the best strikers in SEC, giving Crimson Tide a dangerous bat in four holes as they seem to win the third consecutive NCAA tournament.
Alabama Crimson Tide seizes the field on Tuesday and Wednesday against the Middle Tennessee State and the State of Alabama before traveling to Jacksonville to participate in the Jaksonville College Baseball Class for their first big season test.
