Andy Irving admitted that players love life under Graham Potter.
The former boss of Brighton, who arrived to take over from Julen Lopetegi last month, was a sip of fresh air for everyone in the club, as Irving admits that the feeling is felt a lot among the players.
“Ever since the main coach entered, he has been brilliant,” Irving told the official club website. “Every time he or the staff have talked to me, it’s really positive and I think it is with every player.
“Every day in the workouts it was brilliant, really nice and I think I’m training well. I work very hard and I feel that the hard work is paying off at the moment and I am delighted with it. “
Irving received a stunning reception from Hammers fans on our trip to Chelsea on Monday night, something Irving admits is a huge moment for him.
“It took me a second to realize that it was about me,” Irving added. “It’s brilliant, the support is great and it definitely gives me the team with an extra boost. You see them at the end there, still in their number, applauding us. The fans were absolutely brilliant. Call my girlfriend, who was also in this stand, we hope to sing together, and also to my family, because I would not be here without them.
“At the end of May, there was a job at a Tower Hamletz school and my partner decided to go for the interview, for which I was everything. She had a huge conviction that I would stay for this season, but the pressure was on the season. She is amazing. I am super proud of her, the way she is lively in London and her work! “
