Laredo, Texas (KGNS) – The International Fair and Exhibition of Laredo (LIFE) has been held in Larendo for nearly half a century. Today, Monday, February 24, was the first day of the event.
There were dozens of cattle presented at the Center for Event of 1848, officially known as Life Downs.
The students, part of 4-H and future farmers of America, took part in the event. Livestock presented at the fair includes a wide variety of animals, including steering, lambs, goats and rabbits.
After many years, the event has become a family tradition for many in the community.
According to one participant Vilma Suarez, “this is a very responsibility because they have to go to school and complete their home tasks. Then they will call me to say, “Are your grandmother ready?” I say, “Okay, I’ll take you,” and that’s why we usually have two hours. ”
Life Fair’s exposures take place until March 1, 2025.
