Lubbock – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) on the indoor Track & Field Team returns to Lubbock at the Sports Results Center this weekend to compete in Jarvis Scott on Texas Tech.
The action begins on Friday at 2pm with field events and events will follow at 4:00 pm on Saturday, field and running events start at 11 am. The meeting will be broadcast to Big 12 now to ESPN+.
Vaqueros competed in the same place two weeks ago and placed six program records while recruiting 18 personal best. Junior Nila Harris Win the female 60-meter dash on the way to winning the female athlete at the Southern Conference Week (SLC). Junior Corin Burns and a sophomore Kylie Salazar They both set two program records as Burns was strong in the short sprints in men, and Salazar led the female group at 800 meters. She was part of the relay of the distance, shining in her debut of the season.
This is the last meeting before UTRGV takes over its first SLC closed championships on March 2-3 in Alabama. Vaqueros are looking to continue working on performance and moving up the SLC execution lists to set up for a large championship meeting.
