Local Los Angeles, Gilbert W. Taylor, most famous for the recurring role in the hit soap opera “Days of Our Life,” makes his directorial debut with the short film “Here after”.
The 19-minute drama fantasia focuses on an old man at the end of his life, who is visited by two angels: one to raise him and remind him of his value, the other to knock him down and reap his soul. The mood is universal that most people encounter at the end of their lives- Did I pursue life well lively?
The film was produced by the production company of Gilbert Dapper Dragons. Gilbert founded the company, along with his writing partner, Nathaniel Nunes, so that they can tell their own stories and cooperate with other Bipo and LGBT+ artists along the way, we hope to open doors for more neglected people.
Gilbert New London, Connecticut, and studied the story at Lakeland Community College before moving to Los Angeles to continue his film career.
“Here after” recently received an honorary mention of the Canada Film Festival for shorts where it made its debut.
