At about 10am, family members tell us that they have seen what looks like the law enforcement to get out of their cars and run to Gonzalo and his father and ordered them to lift their hands.

Telemundo arrived after the incident – talking to the detainee family who asked to remain anonymous due to his immigration status. The family shared a recorded phone call they had at the detention center, where employees tell them that Gonzalo’s father was really transferred to a Washo detention center, where they said they were holding him without a guarantee and that these were the instructions that were They are obtained from ice, with no more details.

We contacted ICE and DEA to ask about this incident and they told us that they had indeed carried out operations in North Nevada on Sunday, February 2, where the detainees were immigrants with deportation orders, or with DUI sentences or recording of domestic violence. DEA usually performs drug -related operations, but DeA employees say they are currently collaborating with ICE in immigration operations.

Renault police talked to Telemundo Reno and said they were not familiar with such operations in Renault and that they did not contact ICE to request their cooperation.
