The Seattle Seahawks snuck in to hire Clint Kubiak as offensive coordinator during the championship weekend games.
The former New Orleans Saints coordinator has twice already fallen victim to the firing of his head coach, leading to finding a new home.
Despite the fact that Kubiak never held the position for more than a full season, and despite the fact that we all watched Saquon Barkley restore order in Pennsylvania, people still weighed in on the hire.
And the reactions were overwhelmingly positive.
The Seahawks have officially hired Klint Kubiak as their OC.
Probably the best option available if they are looking for Bobby Slowik.
Good rental.

You never know until it actually happens, but all in Kubiak. Now I wish the next Seahawks game was sooner than 7+ months https://t.co/uSbsZ3try7

Kubiak’s No. 1 job is not to resurrect the run game, but the action. However, we hope that this will improve.

A wide range of voices were heard over the weekend. The following is from a radio host in Denver.
We have to see which coach will be new #seahawksOffensive Coordinator Coach Clint Kubiak. And a running coordinator?
One year after the ambitious hiring of Ryan Grubb, Seattle is a little more secure with the 37-year-old Kubiak. Ludia Kubiak was a head coaching candidate last year.

For anyone who has had time to tune in to the first two games of the 2024 Alvin Kamara Saints, it really makes one wonder about Kenneth Walker’s future.
If Klint Kubiak lands with the Seahawks as OC, Ken Walker will end up on almost 100% of my 2025 fantasy teams.
The Kubiak zone scheme has been a throwback goldmine for decades. Wherever Clint lands = sneaky, crucial to watch

Thanks, Ji!
Obviously not everyone agrees, there are dissenting voices as well. Not the least of which was last Wednesday, when Daniel Jeremiah indicated (as seen below) that Kubiak might not be the best fit for these current Seahawks.
Regardless, here we go. With someone far more familiar with actual NFL offenses than Ryan Grubb. Now, Seattle can head into the draft, free agency, the Senior Bowl, contract negotiations and all the big decisions that need to be made with their offensive mind able to weigh in.
