Seattle’s icy arrests are part of great effort to apply
The arrests emphasize the ongoing efforts to implement immigration aimed at persons with criminal history, especially those involving public safety risks, such as violated driving.
These actions are in line with the hard focus of the Trump administration on the implementation of immigration under the guidance of Tom Homan, the appointed “border kings”. Homan, who had previously been acting director of ICE from January 2017 to June 2018, is an unwavering defender of strict immigration policies. In his current role, he has managed comprehensive border implementation strategies, including mass deportations. Homan stressed the administration’s commitment to eliminate criminal aliens by pointing a goal to “eradicate any crime migrant from the US”
