“I never worked with the intention of getting a ticket,” says Kartikey Chouhan after BJP’s Budhni candidate – Free Press Journal

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A day after the BJP candidate for the Budhni by-election was announced, Kartikey Chouhan, son of Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, said he never worked with the intention of getting a ticket for the by-election.

“It is my happiness that the party workers pushed my name and moved it to the pool of likely candidates… There are many leaders who are more experienced and more deserving than me,” Karthikey said while addressing the media here on Sunday. The former CM’s son also said that party candidate Ramakant Bhargava is a father figure to him and he will work for his victory in the by-elections.

Kartikey urged the party workers to gear up to fight the by-elections with redoubled energy and ensure Bhargava’s victory. Karthikey further said that he had always worked as a party worker and believed in its ideology of keeping party workers united like a garland and that he did not need a ticket to go among Budhni people.

The twin engine government – Modi government at the center and Mohan Yadav in the state government is working for the development of the state. Now with the party giving the ticket to Bhargava, there are now three engines, he added. “This is my promise, I will leave no stone unturned in the by-elections and I will fight like in the previous elections,” he said.
